Mother's Day

Hello Everyone,

If you visit my blog today, I thank you. Happy Mother's Day to all of you mother's out there.

Mother's Day is always a bit sad for me because my mother died April 4th, 1998, of ovarian cancer, and I still miss her. She was a fantastic little lady who was always there for her children even when it was inconvenient for her.

I remember all the times coming home from being out on a date and waking her to tell her all the details about the guy. For some reason, it was never on a day when she was off work, and had to get up at 5 a.m. Poor mom, she put up with it and listened to what I had to say and often gave great comments. Smile.

Many afternoons, after she came home from work, she played bad mitten with us. She allowed us to have parties at our house. The guys loved her and would always get her up to dance. Many of them were in the military and missed their own mom's, and so my mom became their mom away from home.

There is so much more I can tell you about my mom, but I would go on and on. Smile.

Love you, Mom.

Have a great day and a happy week.

Sandy

Sandy, I'm sorry you still miss your mom, but it sounds like you celebrate her life with good memories. I had a very nice Mother's Day and hope you did, too! :)

You are blessed to have such fond memories of your mother. I'm sorry you miss her, but it means you cherished the time you had with her.

Not all of us are as fortunate.

Hope you had a great Mother's Day.

Thank you, Stacey. My day was nice.

My mom was so special.

Thanks, Isis. I definitely was blessed with my mother. My hubby wasn't so fortunate either, Isis, so I know what you mean.
