Wouldn't You Like to Pick the Television Channels You Pay For?

You might think this is a funny topic, but I do want to pick the channels I watch.  I don't need the 200 channels Time Warner, AT&T, Direct TV and others force on me. Between my husband and me; we only watch 20 to 25 channels all the time.  We shouldn't have to pay for more.

Do you watch 200 channels?  I bet you don't.  If you are like me you want to decide on what you get on cable.  You don't want to pay for something you don't use.  Instead of paying $75.00 to over a hundred for a bundle with over 200 plus channels you shouldn't have to pay more than $25.00 to $30.00 for the shows you want.

What would you like your cable company to do?  Most cable companies are similar in price.  We need to tell them what we want instead of them telling us what we get.

That's it for this weekend.  Everyone have a great week, and I'll be back next Saturday or Sunday.

This is a big discussion in my family. We went without cable for many years because we just don't watch TV. However, our cable company is also the internet company so we got suckered in with a better deal! Now we have 200 channels that we just don't watch. Guess Hubby likes them as noise in the background while he works from home! :) Give me a book and I'm happy!

Melissa, I think a lot of people are having this discussion. With our cable company, we have internet, TV, and home phone. The TV is the biggest part of the bill.

I've got the same thing: internet, home phone and cable.
I only want the ESPN channels, CBS sportsline, Game show, Urban, and movie channels. The playboy channel wouldn't be a bad idea!

LOL Men and their playboy channel. Thanks for coming by, K.T.

I'm posting a comment for a friend. He's an amateur radio operator like my hubby, and here is what he has to say.

I think that with all the promises the FCC made to the public about all of the possibilities of digital TV that all station managers should be required to watch the junk that they transmit. All of the sick sit-coms, religious stuff and even PBS lacks a lot. It ain't easy getting old, and if you have cable TV or satilite you shouldn't have commercials. That is not what they promised. W
