Some commercials are fun and entertaining, but for the most part I just skip to another channel while a commercial is on.  Yep, I can watch more than one television program at a time and avoid taping them.

Back to the subject of commercials, there is one type of commercial that is irritating the heck out of me.  When the first one came out with the kid telling the older man how younger kids had it good compared to the kid talking to the elderly guy, and the guy answering, "Uh hum, I've been telling you." That one I thought was rather cute.

The ones I don't like and the ones I find condescending are the ones with kids ten years or younger telling even younger kids how good they've got it.  Well, all those kids a year or two older have it good and they should stop acting like they don't.  Give me a break with these stupid commercials.  None of these kids are old enough to have missed out on anything yet.

The people making these commercials are alienating the largest part of the population.  These kids aren't buying your products; their parents and grandparents are, and you could be setting against them against you.

Are there any commercials that irritate you?  I'm eager to hear what you think about commercials.

Have a great week, and I'll see you next Sunday.

Not sure I've seen those commercials, Sandy, but sounds like they would annoy me.

The one I don't like or get is the guy in the goofy (ugly) Christmas sweater who opens a box only to find out he ordered the same sweater he's currently wearing. Then he boxes it up & ships it back in a flat-rate USPS box. When the postman picks it up at his door, he looks like he can't believe the sweater the guy is wearing, but then says "Nice sweater." The guy at the door gives this shy smile and says "Thank you" in a sheepish (creepy) voice. I don't get it and it annoys me in it's stupidity. Maybe it's just me.

I hate the All-State commercial where the guy is mapping the accident on his app and the stupid blond girl comes down the street "they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true" and then the slob walks up and says 'bonjour.'

so irritating, the whole thing, and All-State has some otherwise good commercials.

My favorite commercials are the Mayhem guy. LOVE HIM! I follow him on Facebook and get daily updates of Mayhem.

Stacey, I've seen the one you're talking about, and it is rather dumb. lol The other commercial has been everywhere, but I haven't seen it in a while. They must've replaced it with the younger kids commercials. Thanks for the comment, Stacey.

Diana, thanks for the comment. I don't remember seeing the commercials with the Mayhem guy. I know what you mean by that particular All-State commercials. All the others are great.

Last summer a certain fast food restaurant had a commercial with two girls BBQing, wearing skimpy clothes with their butts handing out of their bottoms.

The two sweating girls (because BBQing is hot) end up shoving each other around and then "discovered" pulled pork on a hamburger. Then the two girls feed each other in a fantasy lesbian sort of way. A man with his mouth hanging open, took photos with his phone.

Because, you know that always happens when sexy girls BBQ. *eye roll*

LOL Oh, gross! Who were they trying to appeal to? Men or another segment of our society? Thanks for your comment, Janice.
